Client Overview

Alex Mills is a Sydney based Social Media Consultant. His goal is to guide brands and businesses through the sometimes overwhelming world of social media, ensuring their content stands out, resonates, and drives tangible results.

Our Goals

Alex first approached us with three primary goals in mind: to refresh his website, update its look to be modern and aligned with their branding, and migrate it from their outdated platform to WordPress. Additionally, he wanted a dedicated section to showcase all of his new client case studies. as he’s got a tonne of impressive ones for companies like Adobe, Spotify and Lenovo.

To achieve these goals for him, we worked through our usual project process. This included starting with website wireframes, UX design, visual design, and finally the website development and testing. We ensured that every step of the way, his vision and goals were at the forefront of our strategy (which just so happened to be a punk theme which we adored). 

The first phase involved creating wireframes, allows us to outline the structure and layout of the new website. This served as the foundation upon which we built the user experience (UX) design. We focused on enhancing navigation, improving user interaction, and optimising for mobile responsiveness to ensure a seamless browsing experience across all devices.

He wanted a bit of punch with his new site, so we threw in a lot of paint splatter, punk imagery and bright pops of blue to achieve this. He loved this new refresh on his existing brand and ended up using these same elements throughout the rest of his marketing assets for brand consistency. 

With the wireframes approved, our design team stepped in to breathe life into the website. Drawing inspiration from our client’s brand identity and personality, we crafted a modern, punk-themed design that exudes his energy, a little bit of rebellion, and most importantly authenticity. Bold typography, vibrant colours, and paint splotches were used throughout to capture the brand image.

Once the design was finalised we started the development phase of the site. Migrating his website to WordPress for enhanced functionality, flexibility and ease of management. We tailored the platform to meet his specific needs, including the creation of a dedicated section for client case studies.

We were happy to collaborate closely with him to accommodate budget constraints. We worked transparently, providing a solution to meet the specifications he wanted on the site, without compromising on quality or creativity. We were able to do this my demonstrating how to manage certain aspects of the website himself rather than having us do it, enabling him to save money in the long run while saving money on the website. 

THE RESULTS

We very much love the final product we created. We delivered a bold website which makes a clear statement about who Alex is. We’ve aimed to create a site that captures the essence of his brand and resonates with his target audience.

It was great working directly with Alex on this in order to deliver something that showcases what he does, while also staying true to his personality.
