Amber is a psychotherapist and clinical counsellor based in Sydney, specialising in working with people who use substances such as drugs, alcohol and nicotine, use repetitive self-soothing behaviours, such as gambling, shopping, gaming and more, experience disordered eating, body acceptance issues, or have a difficult relationship with food or exercise, have complex mental health needs or have been diagnosed with psychiatric labels such as mood disorders and personality disorders or have experienced trauma or painful life experiences.

A COMPASSIONATE ONLINE SPACE
Having worked with Amber on other projects (like the Rough Patch and Sydney Addictions Recovery website) we were thrilled to partner with her again to bring this new vision to life. As a psychotherapist and clinical counsellor based in Sydney, Amber supports people navigating a wide range of challenges: from substance use and disordered eating to complex mental health needs and past trauma.
The goal for this project was to create a website that not only informs potential clients about Amber and her services, but also feels like a safe, welcoming space. We knew the importance of building trust and confidence in visitors considering therapy – especially for those who have had difficult experiences in the past.
Working closely with Amber, we designed a website layout that feels warm and approachable, inviting visitors to explore her services and philosophy without overwhelm. Every section was carefully crafted to reflect Amber’s genuine, compassionate approach, prioritising clarity and ease of navigation to support visitors wherever they are in their journey.
We also incorporated beautiful purple branding created by Cara at Studio Together Design – adding a personal and professional touch that reinforces the site’s warm, calming feel.
By bringing together thoughtful UX design, SEO setup, and careful messaging, we created a website that empowers visitors with knowledge and the confidence to seek help. With a focus on clarity and compassion, the site creates a supportive first step for anyone reaching out to Amber for guidance.
