When a brand has been around for over 20 years, their website should reflect that expertise. The Origin team knew their website needed more than a fresh coat of paint. It needed to reflect the confidence and professionalism they’ve built over 2 decades in the industry.
With brokers throughout Australia and access to an extensive panel of lenders, they needed a website that could communicate their expertise while making the mortgage process feel approachable and stress-free. We worked closely with the Origin Finance team to create a website that feels professional and trustworthy. The challenge was taking a brand that had built its reputation on personal relationships and translating that warmth and expertise into a website that would resonate with modern home buyers.
PREMIUM FEEL WITH PRACTICAL FUNCTION
Having full creative control on this project meant we could design what we knew would work — and we’re really proud of the result. The project began with a deep dive into Origin’s customer journey. We wanted to understand where users were getting lost and where trust could be built faster. From there, we mapped a streamlined structure that better serves customers while showcasing the full strength of Origin’s national team.
Next, we refreshed their branding so that it positioned Origin Finance as the premium mortgage broker they are. We developed a rich colour palette featuring deep navy and rust tones to convey trust, stability, and warmth. At the same time, clean layouts and thoughtful typography ensured the site felt modern and accessible.
Finally, we completely reimagined the website copy to speak directly to their audience’s needs and concerns. Rather than industry jargon, we focused on clear, conversational language that explained complex mortgage concepts in terms real people could understand. We crafted every piece of content to build confidence and trust, from the homepage messaging to the detailed service explanations.
SMART TOOLS, SEAMLESS EXPERIENCE
On the technical side, we custom-built the site on WordPress with a broker-friendly backend, allowing for easy updates, new content, and scalable growth.
One of the standout features we developed was a custom-built “pick your broker” page that makes it easy to browse by state or language — addressing the real need for clients to find local, culturally appropriate support. This feature acknowledges that choosing a mortgage broker is personal, and helps match clients with the right consultant for their specific circumstances.
We also integrated custom calculator tools including a Loan Repayment Calculator, Borrowing Power Calculator, Property Buying Cost Calculator, and Savings Goal Calculator that help potential clients understand their financial position and plan their property journey before they even pick up the phone. These comprehensive tools position Origin Finance as helpful advisors from the very first interaction, building trust before the relationship even begins.
The educational eBook we created serves as both a lead magnet and a genuine resource, breaking down complex mortgage concepts into digestible, actionable advice. This resource reflects Origin Finance’s commitment to empowering their clients with knowledge. Rather than just collecting email addresses, the eBook provides real value to their clients.
