Client Overview

PR First is a London-based PR agency working across interiors, design and lifestyle, with an incredible portfolio of brands and projects behind them. Their work is highly visual, creative and editorial by nature, so their website needed to do more than simply explain what they offer. It needed to feel like an extension of the work itself, giving their imagery, campaigns, clients and case studies the space to speak for themselves.

Our Goals

  • Create a more polished, professional digital presence that better reflects PR First’s work
  • Give their imagery a much bigger role throughout the site
  • Expand a minimal existing site into something more substantial without losing its refined feel
  • Clearly communicate their different services and expertise
  • Bring client names, testimonials, case studies and other social proof into the experience
  • Create a website that can continue growing alongside the agency
  • Create new editable social media templates in the same style

Our Deliverables

  • Full WordPress website redesign and rebuild
  • Custom UI & UX design
  • Responsive mobile and tablet design
  • Expanded service architecture and content structure
  • Case study and journal templates
  • Client portfolio and testimonial sections
  • SEO-friendly website structure
  • Existing content and blog migration
  • Custom Canva social media templates
  • Website handover and training

A WEBSITE WE’VE BEEN DYING TO SHARE

We’re not supposed to have favourites, but this one is very, very high on the list. From the beginning, PR First gave us the opportunity to lean into a much more editorial style of web design than we usually get to explore. Think oversized typography, beautiful photography, strong layouts, movement, negative space and pages that feel a little more like flicking through a magazine than scrolling through a traditional corporate website.

It’s a style we’ve always loved creatively, but it isn’t right for every business. For PR First, it made complete sense.

Their work already lives in this world, and the quality of their photography gave us so much to work with. Honestly, it might be the best image library we’ve ever been handed for a website project.

OUR DESIGN APPROACH

The direction was refined, editorial and image-led, while still making sure the website worked hard as an actual business tool. We kept the overall palette and interface relatively restrained so the imagery could do most of the talking, then used typography, scale, movement and overlapping elements to give the pages personality.

Rather than filling every available space, we deliberately gave content room to breathe. Large campaign imagery sits alongside more structured service information, scrolling testimonials, client logos, case studies and journal content. The result feels much more like PR First: established and professional, but still creative, current and visually interesting.

MORE THAN JUST A PRETTY PORTFOLIO

One of the biggest opportunities was giving visitors more ways to understand what PR First actually does. The previous website was relatively small and minimal, which meant there wasn’t much room to explore their breadth of services or the incredible body of work behind the agency.

The new site introduces dedicated service areas across PR & Media Relations, Social & Digital, and Content, Creative & Events, supported by more detailed information throughout. We also brought their work much further forward through dedicated case studies, journal content, client portfolios and scrolling testimonials. For existing clients, it better represents the agency they already know. For potential clients, there’s now far more opportunity to explore their expertise, experience and the kind of work they could create together.

DESIGNED AROUND SOME SERIOUSLY GOOD CONTENT

A huge part of this project was working out how to make the most of PR First’s existing content rather than forcing it into a rigid website template. Their photography is genuinely beautiful, so we created flexible layouts that allow portrait, landscape and campaign imagery to become part of the experience rather than simply sitting inside standard image blocks.

We also created reusable templates for future case studies and journal posts, making it easier for the PR First team to continue building out the site as new projects, campaigns and ideas are ready to share. The website has been designed to feel considered now, without boxing them into what exists today.

TAKING THE NEW LOOK TO SOCIAL

The website wasn’t the only part of PR First’s digital presence we worked on. Alongside the redesign, we created a suite of editable Canva social media templates inspired by the same visual direction. The templates bring across the typography, graphic treatment and editorial feel of the website while giving the team enough flexibility to use them across different types of content.

They’re designed to complement PR First’s photography rather than compete with it, helping create a more cohesive visual identity between the website and social channels. And yes, we’re equally obsessed with these.

ONE WE’LL BE TALKING ABOUT FOR A WHILE…

This is one of those projects that reminds us just how much the right business, imagery and design direction can bring out the best in each other.

PR First already had the work. They already had the clients. And they had an absolutely ridiculous library of beautiful imagery. Our job was to create the digital space that could properly hold all of it.

The finished website feels more established, more editorial and much more representative of the agency behind it, while still leaving plenty of room for what comes next.

It’s bold without being loud, polished without feeling corporate, and probably one of the closest examples yet of the kind of editorial web design we absolutely love creating. We’re very excited to finally have this one out in the world.
